Co-Founder - Bert, the father in the father/son duo, has a passion for quality beer that can be traced back to his family’s roots in the beer drinker’s paradise of Bavaria, Germany. Growing up with parents that immigrated to the United States, Bert remembers beer being an important part of family gatherings and traditional celebrations. “Delicious beer has been part of the fabric of our family as long as I can remember,” recalls Bert. Bert draws upon his heritage and his background as a teacher in plant and soil science to help create beers at Common Roots Brewing Company. He works closely with Christian during the brewing process as well as manages the operation facilities to ensure all aspects of CRBC run effectively.
